Supplies you will need:

-Ball Jar

-Patriotic Picks (I got mine from Hobby Lobby)

-Patriotic Hair Scrunchies (Hobby Lobby)

-Crimson Waverly Chalk Paint (Wal-Mart)

-Paint Brush

-Sanding Block (optional)

Once you have gathered your supplies the first step is to paint your jar.  I decided to paint mine red(Crimson) to make mine a little brighter.  This would also be cute painted blue or white. As always this is your personal preference! Once your jar has dried you can distress it with a sanding block or piece of sand paper if you like the distressed look.  I like to rub my sanding block over the lettering just to make words stand out a little more.

I then took my blue scrunchie and put it around the neck of the jar.  Initially, I was going to make a cute little bow to go around the neck but then I found these scrunchies at Hobby Lobby and thought this would be something unique and different so I snatched them up!

Now it’s time to stick in your picks. You can get these lots of places but I happened to be at Hobby Lobby so I grabbed mine there.  I like to use 2 or 3 different styles. That’s it! The perfect addition to spruce up your home for celebrating America!  What do you think?
