Hanging XOXO Heart Sign

You will need:

~Surface of choice-mine is from the Dollar Tree

~burlap hearts-Hobby Lobby

~xoxo tile letters

~bright magenta apple barrel paint

~Ribbon and raffia-optional

The first thing I did was paint my surface with my bright magenta. I used two coats on mine. As you can see, the design underneath is still showing through a bit. I’m not too worried about it! Once we get everything glued on and a bow on the top, no one will ever know!

Next, I glued my burlap hearts down alternating red and natural. I then glued my XOXO tiles onto the hearts. These letter tiles are some I had on hand from my shop. I do carry them from time to time but they are sold out at the moment. Any small letter will work for this.

Now, to finish off this cute sign, I simply made a criss-cross bow as shown below.

I then added a cute little raffia bow on top of my criss-cross bow and embellished with a couple little glitter hearts I had on hand. I believe they are from the Dollar Tree.

Grandma Pat’s Angel Food Dessert

You will need:

~1-9 inch angel food cake

~2-8 oz.packages cream cheese

~16 oz. whipped topping

~1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

~1 tsp. vanilla extract

~2-21 oz. cans cherry pie filling

The first step is to either bake an angel food cake or buy an already made cake. Either one will work just fine! As you can see here, I baked my own cake and let cool completely before the next step.

Next, tear up the cake into pieces in a 10×13 dish.

The next step is to combine your cream cheese, whipped topping, powdered sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Once you have that mixture done you will add that to your pieces of angel food cake and mix until all pieces are covered.

You can see the full video of this process HERE!

To finish off your desert, simply pour both cans of your pie filling over the top and chill your desert until you’re ready to serve! If you’re not a big cherry fan you can switch out the cherry pie filling for either mixed berry, strawberry, or blueberry as well. All will be delicious!

Side note-if your wanting a lighter version of this desert, simply use fat free or light cream cheese and whipped topping and zero sugar pie filling to save yourself a few calories!

It’s time to dig in! Let me know what you think!

Oreo Thin Mint Cookies

You will need:

~Mint Oreo Cookies

~Chocolate Candy Coating

~Sprinkles

This may just be the easiest recipe ever but it’s too delicious not to share!

Step 1-Melt the candy coating in a saucepan on low heat.

Step 2-Dip the Oreos in the chocolate coating both sides. I like to use a fork to do this and then tap the excess chocolate off before laying on parchment paper or foil.

Step 3-Add sprinkles. I used the green sprinkles from the top of the red funfetti frosting they have at Walmart during the holidays.

Step 4- Enjoy these delicious treats with friends and family!

Creamy Dill Pickle Dip

You will need:

~Cream Cheese

~Sour Cream

~Dill Pickle Relish

~Powdered Ranch Seasoning

~SPG(salt, pepper,garlic)

~Onion Powder

~Dried Minced Onion

This is one of our all time favorite dips that we make at our house. I know there are several different ways to make a pickle dip and they are all so delicious! The nice thing about this recipe is that you can substitute the cream cheese and sour cream for the light or reduced fat to lower the calories.

Simply combine all of the above ingredients and stir together. That’s it…and you will have a yummy dip to share or keep all to yourself! HaHa! I didn’t put exact measurements on this recipe as it just varies depending how many you are serving. I just do equal parts of the cream cheese and sour cream and then just add in the relish to taste. Same with the seasonings. Of course, you could also just chop up regular dill pickles for this as well but why not take the easy way with the relish, right?

I like to serve mine with these Stacy’s brand pita chips for a little extra crunch! Let me know what you think!

Cheesy 3 Meat Egg Bake

You will need:

~Eggs

~Milk

~Bacon

~Ham

~Sausage

~Shredded cheese of choice

~Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Chives, Minced Onion

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

First off, I cook and prepare my meats. I used about 1/2 cup of each kind of meat.

While the bacon and sausage are cooking, I crack 12 eggs in a bowl. I add 1/2 cup of milk, salt, pepper, garlic, minced onion, chives, and shredded cheese and beat well. I like to use the Mac & Cheese blend shredded cheese from Walmart, but any kind will work. Stir in your meats.

Pour in a greased pie dish or baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until casserole is set.

Can you say delicious?! This is a great low carb breakfast if you are trying to watch your calories or if you have wrestlers in the house like me! haha!

I love the pop of color the chives give it and of course the flavor too! Will you be trying this recipe?

Chicken Fried Steak

You will need:

~Cube Steak

~Worcestershire

~2 eggs

~Milk

~SPG(salt, pepper, garlic)

~Minced onion-dried

~2 cups flour

~1 Sleeve Club Crackers

~Oil for frying

First, I season my cube steak with my SPG(salt, pepper, and garlic) and a little Worcestershire. I let that set for 10-15 minutes. Preheat your skillet with about a 1/4 cup of oil on medium heat. While that is doing its thing, I get my egg and flour mixtures ready for breading the steaks.

For the egg mixture, you will mix the eggs, a splash or two of Worcestershire, and a 2-3 tbsp of milk. For the flour mixture, you will mix flour, crushed sleeve of club crackers(or crackers of choice), SPG(salt, pepper, garlic), and dried minced onion. Depending on the number of steaks you are making you will want to adjust this accordingly. I typically make 4-6 steaks with this recipe.

Once your oil is ready, it’s time to start breading! Soak each steak in the egg mixture and then coat firmly with the flour/cracker mixture on both sides and get it to frying! Typically 3-4 minutes per side is all it takes. The crispier you like the outside coating the longer you will want to cook them. I like mine crispy so the crackers and minced onion get nice and crunchy!

I like to serve mine with cheesy green beans and mashed potatoes, however, we substituted the potatoes with a salad this time since my boys are watching their weight for wrestling. I have been getting lots of questions about the cheesy green beans so I will share that recipe as well. Super simple!

Cheesy Green Beans:

~2 Cans cut green beans

~5-6 slices of cheese or cubed velveeta

~1-2 Tbsp. milk

Combine all ingredients on stovetop or microwave until cheese is melted and voila!

I hope you try this recipe and love it as much as my family does!
