Supplies:
*Scrap Wood
*Red, White, and Blue Paint
*Paint Brush
*Spouncer
*Sanding Block
*Jute Cord/Rope
The first thing I did was paint my two pieces of wood. I used “Ocean” Waverly chalk paint for my blue and “Bright Red” Apple Barrel paint for my red.

Once my paint had dried, I took my spouncer(round sponge brush) and added white polka dots to my blue fire cracker and white stripes to my red fire cracker. If you wanted, you could use painters tape to paint your stripes on also for a more perfected look.

Next, I hot glued two pieces of jute cord on the top for my fuses.
Once my polka dots and stripes were dry, I then took my sanding block and distressed them.

They are super cute just like this but I decided I wanted to add a cute, little bow to mine. I simply just took a few different patterns and thickness of ribbon and criss crossed them. I then take a skinny piece of ribbon or twine and tie it to the center of my bow to gather my ribbon together.

Aren’t these just adorable! The perfect addition to your patriotic decor!

i have my family room red, white and blue. did a piece on 3 planks then painted an eagle on it. turned out great. sold a few too. lol.
So cute. I’ve been wanting to make these for a long time and hope to squeeze them in this season! Great job!
