Thankful Wood Bead Hanging Sign

You will need:

*unfinished round wood bead hanger-mine is from Hobby Lobby

*Waverly “moss” paint-

*DIY Antique Wax-any wax will work

*burlap-mine is from Hobby Lobby

*thankful tag-comes in a pack of three from Hobby Lobby

*Apple Barrel “antique white” paint

*Fall colored raffia-Hobby Lobby

The first thing I did was paint the round part with my “moss” colored paint.

I then took a wipe and dipped it in my DIY wax and lightly rubbed that over the part I had just painted.

Next, I took a piece of rust colored burlap and cut the wired edges off to give it the frayed look on the edges. I then glued that down followed by the thankful tag on top of that.

I decided I didn’t want to leave the wood beads the natural colored but also didn’t want them to be too bold so I settled on “antique white” for them. I just put a small dab on a wipe and wiped around the beads to give them just a little bit of color.

And of course to finish this cuteness off I had a simply raffia bow using some Fall colored raffia I found at Hobby Lobby.

I then lightly went over the rest of the sign with this same wipe to give it a little more color and dimension.

USA Layered Star Sign

For this project, you will need:

*surface of choice-the one I used is handmade

*star cut-out

*USA star decor-Hobby Lobby

*red, white and blue paint of choice

*POSCA paint pens-here is my affiliate link for the ones I use.

*raffia

*hot glue gun-affiliate link for the one I use.

I started by painting my star cut out with blue bonnet Apple Barrel paint and my USA star with my white paint.

Next, I used POSCA paint pens to paint the detailing. These pens are super handy to have if you craft often!

Once my stars were dry I hot glued them onto my surface. Blue start first and the white star on top as shown.

I tied up a quick raffia bow to add to the top and that’s all there was to it!
