Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding

Every time I make this recipe it brings me back to my childhood. My grandma and I would always go to one of the local restaurants in my hometown and order bread pudding for a special treat. As I got older and learned how to make this on my own, from the help of Grandma of course, it quickly became one of our family favorites.

You will need:

*Bread of choice

*8 Large Eggs

*1 Cup Milk

*3 Tbsp. Cinnamon

*1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

*1Cup Raisins-optional

*Caramel- I use caramel ice cream topping.

The first step is to decide what bread you are going to use for your bread pudding. I like to use day old donuts from Wal-Mart for mine but you can use any bread of your choice. The amount will obviously depend on how big of a batch you are wanting to make, but typically I use one of the 12 pack of donuts and that is perfect for a 9×13 pan.

Now it’s time to cube up your bread.

Next, I add in my raisins.

Next, I mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla together in a bowl and then pour that over my bread. I then toss this together until it’s evenly dispersed throughout the pan.

Before I put it in the oven I drizzle caramel sauce over the top and then bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.

How yummy does this look?!! You can garnish with ice cream or whipped cream for an even sweeter treat!
