DIY Valentine’s Heart Decor

You will need:

*Heart hanger-Hobby Lobby

*”Love” wood cut-out-Hobby Lobby

*Pink burlap-Dollar Tree

*Apple Barrel acrylic paint in “Snow White”-Walmart

*Deco Art acrylic paint in “Green Lagoon”-Hobby Lobby

*Ribbon for bow-optional

*Hot glue gun-CLICK HERE for my affiliate link for the glue gun I use.

The first thing I did was paint my “Love” with my “Snow White” paint and my little wood heart with my “Green Lagoon” paint. I found a pack of these little wood hearts at the Dollar Tree.

Next, I cut a piece of pink burlap and glued that to the center of the heart. I found this burlap at the Dollar Tree in the craft section.

Once I had the burlap on, I then glued the “Love” to the burlap and then added my painted heart to the bottom of that.

To finish it off I made a simple crisscross bow using various ribbons from Hobby Lobby.

I found all of my supplies for this at the Dollar Tree except for the Waverly paint and my paint brush! Who would of thought, right?

I started by painting my pumpkin with my “pumpkin” Waverly chalk paint. You can get a small bottle of this paint for under $2. You could certainly skip this step if you wanted to but I thought it would be cute to see a pop of orange through the burlap. Once that had dried I traced my pumpkin on my piece of burlap. You can then either use mod podge or hot glue to adhere your burlap to your pumpkin.

Next I used the word “welcome” from the 3 pack of metal words I got at the Dollar Tree. If you have a Dollar Tree I would go snatch some of the words as soon as you can! You would be surprised how much cute craft stuff dollar stores actually have. Not a week goes by that I don’t go on a good old shopping spree at our local Dollar Tree!

Lastly, I hot glued my bow onto the bottom of the stem. I also got this two pack of bows at Dollar Tree for $1. Too cute pass up so I snatched them up.

How stinkin’ cute right? The even better part is that I made this for under $5.
