Walmart Bunny Makeover

How cute is this little wood bunny I found at Walmart? Although it is super cute just the way it is, I had a different vision for it!

The first thing I did was run a sanding block over it to smooth it out.

Next, I used the color “mint chip” from the DIY Paint Co. brand and painted the top of the bunny. I left the sides pink for added dimension.

Once that was dry, I then took my waverly brush and dabbed it in my DIY Dark Wax(also DIY Paint Co. brand) and light brushed it across the top of the bunny. You can make this as light or as dark as you want by adjusting the amount of wax you apply.

Next, I took a piece of pink burlap and used mod podge to adhere it to the ears and then trimmed around it with scissors to fit the ears,

To finish off the ears, I took jute rope and outlined around them and added a cute buffalo check bowl

Now, it’s time to get creative with the face. I used POSCA paint pens and buttons for mine.

So, what do you think? You can always change this up to fit your style but I think she turned out pretty darn cute.
