You all know I love me a good Dollar Tree craft project, so I have brought you yet another adorable diy using Dollar Tree items! Your welcome!
I hadn’t been to our local Dollar Tree for several weeks and let me tell you, I found lots of goodies when I finally made it there! In case you missed my haul from my shopping trip you can watch that right here on FB! To say the least I was very impressed. Dollar Tree has stepped up their game in the decor and craft department for sure!
You will need:
*Oval shaped wood slice-Dollar Tree
*Gift bag of choice-I chose this one from Dollar Tree
*Raffia
*Half wood beads-you can get these beads with my affiliate link HERE
I ended up not using the wood beads pictured below so disregard those. They did come from Hobby Lobby in case you were wondering!

When I seen these wood slices at the Dollar Tree, I knew I had to have one! Not only were they $5, but they were the perfect shape for an egg! My mind instantly went to work thinking what I could create with this! I also found these cute gift bags and loved the colors and pattern. So tada!
The first step is to cut one side of the gift bag off and then trace the wood slice.

Next, I used mod podge to adhere my traced shape to the wood slice. I then used my sanding block to get any excess paper that was hanging over the edges of the wood slice.

Now it’s time to outline the egg with half wood beads. I use these all the time when I am crafting and are so handy to have! You can use my affiliate link and get these wood beads right HERE!

Lastly, it’s time to add a bow. I tried a few different options but decided to go with the trusty raffia bow. Of course, I added a button in the center to give it a pop of color! I just love how this turned out!

If you want to make this into a hanger like I did, simply use a piece of jute twine or rope and staple/glue it to the back of the wood slice. You could even add wood beads for an extra pop.

So, what do you think? Will you be giving this one a try?
