Paper Straw Easter Egg Decor

You will need:

*Paper straws-Hobby Lobby

*Egg cut-out

*Paint of choice

*Rope twine

*Ribbon if bow is desired

I chose to paint my egg with the color Pink Parfait by Apple Barrel. You could sure skip this step if you wanted, however, I wanted the edges of my egg to be painted.

Next, I began gluing my straws on. I started with blue and worked my way to the top using all three colors.

Once I had all of the straws glued on I took my scissors and cut around the shape of the egg.

To give it a more finished look, I glued rope twine around the edge. I also used this twine to make a hanger for the egg once I was finished.

The last thing I did was add a bow. I simply took two different pattern of ribbons and crossed them and used a piece of jute twin to secure the middle. I added a cute little egg embellishment to the center as well.

If you didn’t want to add the twine hanger you could also use this as a shelf sitter or accent piece for a tiered tray!
