Barn Wood “Hop” Easter Sign

To start, I simply used my Apple Barrel paint to paint my letters. You can find the paint I used at Wal-mart. I used “Pink Parfait” for the “H” and “Aquamarine” for the “P”.

Next, I took my piece of scrapbook paper, traced my oval shape onto it, cut it out and then mod podged it onto my oval. I then like to brush a little mod podge on the top and around the edges to seal the paper down.

Next, I used E6000 to adhere my pieces to my barn wood. I used the E6000 versus hot glue so I could use this sign outdoors also. Hot glue will not not uphold outside with the varying temperatures. Keep in mind this will take up to 24 hours to cure.

To finish my sign off, I simply took a few different pieces of ribbon and made a quick bow. I found both of these patterns of ribbon at Hobby Lobby.

I am in love with how this turned out. Now to decide if I want to keep this indoors or use it to spruce up my porch. If you will be using your sign outdoors be sure to spray your sign with a polyurethane or clear coat to seal it.
