DIY Easter Gift Bag Sign

Hello friends, I wanted to share this super fun and easy Easter craft with you all! This is all stuff that I had on hand and finally decided to do something with! HaHa!

For this craft, you will need:

*Decorative gift bag-mine came from the Dollar Tree

*Surface of choice-mine came from Hobby Lobby

*Mod Podge

*Ribbon to match for the trim

*Fabric for bow

*Buttons

The first step is to cut your gift bag down to fit on your surface. Don’t worry about getting the edges perfect as we will use a skinny ribbon to trim out the edges.

Next, I simply took mod podge and glued my piece of gift bag to my surface.

As you can see, my edges are a little rough! That’s where this pink ribbon comes in handy! I believe this ribbon came from Wal-mart but just use whatever you have that matches your gift bag.

I then used some teal buttons and glued one in each of the corners to hide the seams where the ribbon comes together.

To finish it off, I took some scrap fabric and made a cute little rag bow!

Who would have thought you could make such a cute piece of decor using a Dollar Tree gift bag, right?

Picture Frame Americana Decor

You will need:

*picture fame-mine came from Hobby Lobby

*scrapbook paper-Hobby Lobby

*USA truck hanger-Hobby Lobby

*burlap

*ribbon if bow is desired

The first step is to open the frame up and replace the insert with your scrapbook paper. Any patriotic pattern of paper will work.

Next, I glued a piece of burlap in the center of the frame on top of the glass.

I then added the truck to the top of the burlap.

Now you can either leave it as is and use it as a shelf sitter, or you can add a bow and a piece of twine to make a hanging sign.

So stinkin’ cute, am I right? I think this took me a total of 5 minutes to make! Will you be making one for yourself?

Hobby Lobby Truck Makeover

You will need:

*Unfinished wood truck from Hobby Lobby

*Paint of your choice

*Sanding block

*Glitter

*POSCA pen(optional)-Here is my affiliate link to find these on Amazon.

The first thing I did was paint my truck with my English Navy color and the tires with Jet Black. All of the colors I used on this project were the Apple Barrel brand.

Next I used Christmas Green for the trees and then used some of the Antique White to highlight the trees a bit.

While the paint was still wet I sprinkled on some green glitter.

I then used my POSCA pen to highlight my truck. If you do not have one of these you can just use a small paint brush and your white paint to get the same effect. Once dried I then took my sanding block to it to add a rustic touch to the truck.

Lastly, I glued one of the these rustic snowflakes on the door and went back with my POSCA pen add added a little more highlighting to the truck. You can find these snowflakes at Hobby Lobby.

I forgot to mention the truck lights up! How stinkin’ cute, right?
